I originally was impressed. The salesman explained everything so I understood and the installer did a great job. About 12 months later I had a problem with my security door so I rang to ask how I could try and fix it or whether it was covered under the warranty. I was told it must be movement of the house (house is 12 years old so it’s not) or I pay $95 call out fee. If it’s not under warranty I just wanted to know (in layman’s terms) how to adjust. This experience put a real damper on the great one I had at time of purchase

Our experience of dealing with Eastern Garage Doors was brilliant. They are so easy to deal with... from the super enthusiastic Tom who visited and provided the quotation, to the lovely Georgia in the office who organized the installation date, to the team who came and put our new door in (and took the old door away). They were all efficient, knowledgeable, professional and polite. A real pleasure to deal with. We could not recommend Eastern Garage Door enough!

I got 4 quotes on my front gate controller and all the other companies didn't even bother coming and said I needed to buy an entire new gate system. John was great, he came to quote and spent a good half hour trying to determine the fault. After determining it was most likely the controller he quoted on replacing that first, before having to change the gate arms too (which would have been a new system). Controller worked and the cost was a quarter of the cost of a new system. It's refreshing to see that there are still good, honest tradesmen out there. Seamless - We had a 20 year old Merlin roller door opener leaking oil and time for replacement, sent an email to EGD Sales, they/Louise emailed a quote back within an hour, she followed up with a phone call straight away and a booking for the next day. Superb service! Darren and Tom have replaced our 20+ year old garage door mechanism with new state of the art Merlin opener plus new springs and cable. Totally worth it! Almost silent instead of terrible rattling and groaning noises, and they did the work in less time than they estimated and arrived early. Can’t ask for better service from these expert guys! Another great experience with Eastern Garage Doors. Previously had a motor fixed promptly. This time, a spring randomly broke when we put the door down on Sunday night and upon calling the next day, we booked to get it fixed with in the next 24 hours. I was so very happy with the service provided by Eastern Garage Doors. My roller door had stopped working and I phoned a few companies only to be put on hold and not giving me a quote or any reassurance about fixing my problem. Yesterday my garage door collapsed due to broken drum. Tried 4 places to get quotes, 2 responded immediately and friendly. Sent both very detailed photos of damages and gave measurements of door and drum diameters to avoid multiple trips hence cost. Eastern Garage was chosen for earlier attendance to repairs. Fixed this morning with minimum of fuss and was a clean job. Tradesmen friendly and not time wasting. Very highly recommended! Thank you Eastern Garage Door, Georgia and Tom.

we had an issue 2 weeks outside of the warranty. The problem was with the parts installed last year. When I called the immediate reponse was "well it is out of warranty so we will have to charge" not a good start. I was then told that I caused the problem, um how could the phone operator have any idea of this. Apparently her mind powers told her that I had disengaged the cable that hangs down. Not sure how this is even possible when I am outside of the garage, if only I had such abilities.The only positive is that they answer the phone quickly but we will never use this company again, support is 0/10ETA I think you missed the point of the review. Your workmanship failed 2 weeks post 12 mth warranty and you blame the customer, this is not a good review. It is great you are happy that you did not have to come and fix your work, that speaks volumes.

From the very get go eastern garage doors was thorough in coming up with the best solution. We have limited height clearance so Eastern garage was very honest and upfront about the options available to us. We settled on a custom clad tilt door which is a massive upgrade on what we had. The back and forth communication was prompt and clear. They did a similarly great job to a colleague who I've recommended them to. Will definitely recommend to others.

Booking in my garage door service was easy and booking staff were helpful and efficient. Very quick response time despite service staff being away due to illness. Cost of service was exactly as quoted and serviceman was knowledgeable and informative without being condescending. 5 star for Louise's customer service. I needed to buy a new remote to troubleshoot why the garage door was only responding intermittently. Louise offered to take the price of the remote off the cost of installing the new garage opener, if I decide to go ahead with the new garage opener. She was very fast in responding to emails and was not pushy at all. Price quoted was very competitive, compared to 2 other quotes I got.Darren turned up on time to install the new garage opener. He also re-lubricated everything on the garage door.Highly recommend this business for their competitive pricing, high quality product and excellent customer service.
