Tilt doors can have several problems, sometimes the arms and bearings may be worn out, if you have a track door wheels may be getting stuck, broken springs or your door may just be catching as buildings often move with weather change. This can affect your remote control opener from working properly.
If you have a small problem it is best to have it looked as sooner rather than later as these sorts of problems do not fix themselves and can cause further damage to the opener or the door or even yourself or vehicle if they are not looked at.
Please be very careful if your springs are broken as the door is very heavy and dangerous and is not operating correctly with broken springs.
Tilt Door Springs
These springs sit on the side of the door and you will have either one or two springs on either side. There are two sorts of tilt doors the Jamb tilt door which just have large hinge type arms and the T-track tilt door which the door opens into tracks.
When you have a broken spring on your tilt door we prefer to replace all springs so that they are all working at the same tension, but this is a costly exercise we will give both options and you can decide if the cost out-weighs the efficiency.
WE DO NOT SELL SPRINGS FOR SELF INSTALLATIONS AS THEY SHOULD ONLY BE INSTALLED BY A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL.
